It's not the end of the route, this is NCN route 5! What it means is Cyclists Rejoin Carriageway.

Very narrow footway on this section of the NCN5. We didn't stay on it for long and returned to using the road which had low traffic volume, but was fast.

Its not entirely clear whether footway cycling is legal here, this is a route sign not a shared use sign.

Cyclists should dismount to cross the bridge to Rhyl (superseded the next day by the Pont y Ddraig cycle bridge) - or use the road, as we did.
